Woman engineer kidnapped in Ghaziabad

An intensive search operation has been launched after 25-year-old woman Dipti Sarna went missing from Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday night. As usual, she took the metro home to Ghaziabad, where she got into an auto around 8 in the evening, police sources said. She would then take an auto from the station and on the day of her kidnapping she was on the phone with her family. Soon after that her phone was turned off. Her family immediately informed the police, a police officer said.

According to police, the victim, an executive in the legal department at Snapdeal and a resident of Ghaziabad was reportedly kidnapped near the Hindon Bridge.

The city police has registered a case of abduction and have launched a search operation.

Dipti’s cousin sister Kirti took to Facebook to share this piece of news. Superintendent of Police Salman Taj Patil on Thursday said that Dipti Sarna, who works in an office in Gurgaon, Haryana, may have been abducted by the auto driver from the main bus stand at Ghaziabad.

After travelling a few kilometers, two other passengers got down and the third passenger, who was a woman, was forcefully thrown out of the auto-rickshaw by the driver and he took a wrong turn. If anyone see or find any thing suspicious please contact:Prachi 07827205531.

Bahl said his organisation is working closely with police authorities to help secure the woman’s safety.

Along with ten teams of the Ghaziabad Police, Snapdeal is also putting up its efforts to trace its employee. Her last known location was at Morti village near Raj Nagar Extension.
