A woman is in custody after an expectant mother was fatally stabbed in the stomach several times Friday afternoon, a source said.

Police have not released the identification of the victim pending family notification.

Though details remain preliminary, police responded to a dispute with physical injuries going down on Monticello Avenue near East 241st Street around 2:23 p.m. When they arrived, they found the 22-year-old victim with multiple stab wounds to her torso.

A woman has been arrested after a mum-to-be’s throat was slit and her baby girl cut from her womb, it was reported.

The woman was taken to the hospital and was pronounced dead, authorities said.

Police are reportedly seeking a warrant to test whether Wade is pregnant amid claims she had told neighbours she was expecting. This version is supported by the fact that the infant appears to have been extracted via Cesarean section.

A 22-year-old suspect was taken into custody. It is expected that charges will be laid soon against her. According to officials, autopsy results obtained from the NY City Medical Examiner will shed new light in this case, and will soon be available.

It remains unclear how Sutton and Wade knew each other. They only became aware that something bad must’ve happened upon witnessing the arrival of police in their normally quiet and peaceful neighborhood.
