Calvin Williams brought his wife, Brooke, to the hospital in Provo on the morning of August 28 to diagnose the cause of her seizures, according to KSL. “‘This level is common with someone who is pregnant, ‘” Williams said.

In addition to the fact that doctors told Brooke that she was infertile, Brooke has always had irregular periods, a family member explained on GoFundMe. However, neither of them knew that Brooke was pregnant.

Brooke was not only pregnant, she was 35 weeks pregnant, and doctors made a decision to perform an emergency cesarean section, according to a GoFundMe page set up to raise money for the baby’s care.

He said: ‘I honestly stared at it and I didn’t know, that’s mine.

Brooke’s husband Calvin, 27, admitted that the couple are in shock after giving birth to their “miracle” baby, adding that the surprise arrival has been an incredibly emotional “whirlwind” for the couple.

A few hours later, they welcomed a baby girl.

“It’s insane, it’s a miracle”, Williams said. Doctors are still trying to figure out what caused the mother’s seizures.

“[Brooke] never had any sickness”, he told KSL. “Without any prenatal care, being a month early”.

“Just a whirlwind. It’s been insane. She’s 5 pounds 8 ounces, 18 inches long and she’s great”.

Williams said he understands why some people may be skeptical that the couple didn’t know they were pregnant. “It’s been insane. I’ve had every emotion, really”.

Calvin Williams says the news came as a surprise because his wife never felt any signs of pregnancy and was previously told she could never have children.

“Me and my wife are the ones that make fun of those people”, Williams joked.
