Woman had breast cancer treatment despite not having the disease
A woman who had a breast cancer treatment despite not having the disease after her reports were mismatched.

According to the report, the 39 year old woman, Elizabeth Dawes, was told by the New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton that she was having breast cancer.
Doctors of the hospital advised her for double mastectomy.
But she refused and went for surgery to remove the tumor and lymph nodes from her armpit.
However, the hospital now accepted that she was misdiagnosed with the disease and because of it she had the unnecessary surgery.
Mrs. Dawes later said in a talk “I am absolutely appalled at what I have been through and am still struggling to comprehend how this could even happen”.
