Woman jostled on NYC subway loses grip on crickets and worms
If you’re wondering what it’s like to live and commute in the New York City subway system, here you go.

She and everyone else on the train freaked out, and one person pulled the emergency cord.
“It was pandemonium”, Chris Calabrese, 29, who was on the train with his girlfriend, told the Post.
Granted, other straphangers have probably seen even crazier stuff in their day, but a auto full of crickets and worms is a lot to handle on an evening commute.
Riders on the subway train were locked in close quarters with the critters for half an hour during rush hour on Wednesday evening after a passenger pulled the train’s emergency brake while they were on the Manhattan Bridge.
Calabrese says it was “the craziest thing” he’d ever seen on a train.
But it got worse. Big mistake. The train ended up stuck in between stations on the Manhattan Bridge. There are signs everywhere telling you that even if the fucking train is on fire, you never pull the emergency break. Things escalated quickly: “People started running toward the back of the train”.
And the air conditioning turned off.
In the late August sun, the temperature in the vehicle quickly rose to a sweltering degree. The worms wriggled on the floor.
She was banging on the doors and trying to climb out the windows. “My girlfriend was crying”, Calabrese told the Post.
The man in the white/blue plaid shirt was being SUPER patient with her and trying to calm her down, he got her to sit from time to time-he was talking to her and trying to direct her.
Meanwhile, a few fearless passengers tried to hold the woman down – who was, by this time, urinating, yelling and attempting to throw up on them, witnesses told the Post. Hopefully she’ll get whatever help she needs. That is something only Bad New Yorkers do.

The weird incident took place on a Brooklyn-bound D train about 6:05 p.m. Wednesday, police said.
