Shauna Julian-Trombley, of North Grosvenordale, was driving south on I-395 in the area of exit 94 at about 2:30 p.m., police said.
Witnesses reported that both cars were driving above the posted speed limit when the second vehicle entered Julian-Trombley’s lane, causing her auto to lose control, police told the newspaper. Twenty-year-old Shauna Julian-Trombley, of North Grosvenordale, lost control of her vehicle when the other auto abruptly entered her lane. After striking the wire ropes, her auto entered the median and continued south up an embankment before tripping and rolling along its path of travel, police said.
As the vehicle spun, Jullan-Trombley was ejected along the southbound median and instantly killed. The Nissan was in the left lane when the second vehicle entered the left lane, causing the driver of the Nissan to lose control of the vehicle.
Julian-Trombley was later pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Her passenger, Kerissa Marquis, 20, of Thompson, was partially ejected but was able to get herself out of the vehicle. Marquis was transported to Day Kimball Hospital for treatment.
The second vehicle involved in the crash, which is described as a newer model silver Honda sedan or similar style, reportedly left the scene, traveling south on the highway, police told the newspaper. The vehicle is described as a newer silver sedan, possibly a Honda.
