Woman left ‘upset’ after receiving a letter offering condolences for her death
A pensioner woman, who lives alone in Spalding, Lincolnshire, left shocked after receiving a letter from her pension provider offering condolences for her death.

The 80 year old lady, known only as Mrs. Fulton, whose neighbors described her as frail, was left extremely upset by the note and expressed her thanks that she was not in worse health.
According to the company, Standard Life, the error had occurred at the clerical desk, after the bank returned a pension payment to the provider, which led this misconception.
However, the company officials apologized for their error and immediately reissued the pension payment along with along some extra money and flowers.
