The Facebook posting had more than 19,000 shares and 13,000 likes as of Monday morning.

According to a statement on the Roselle Police Department’s social media page, an officer noticed the vehicle driving on a local road with a 15-foot tree embedded in the bonnet.

After tracking her auto down, officers noticed that both of her airbags had also deployed, likely as a result of hitting the tree.

Police arrested Maryann Christy, 54, back in January in Roselle, near Chicago, Illinois, after concerned residents spotted the tree and reported her.

The driver then failed a field sobriety test and was booked with a DUI offense.

The woman told police that she struck the tree somewhere in Schaumburg, Tarchala said. “After an investigation, the Roselle officer arrested the driver for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol”, the first post read. Despite this and the place being in the proximity of her home, the driver said she didn’t remember the exact location of the accident. Roselle police added on their Facebook page.
