The unnamed sister at the Daughters of Mary of Nazareth convent told police the women took her rosary beads from a small satchel she was carrying.

The victim was able to identify both suspects, as well as the knife that was used in the robbery, police said. Officers did not find the rosary beads.

The woman responded by saying: “I guess I’ll take the Rosary beads”.

Crystal Young (left) and Vanessa Young are accused of robbing a nun.

Young also attempted to steal a satchel carried by the victim, police said.

Police said Vanessa Young fled with her wife, 26-year-old Crystal Young, who had been standing nearby acting as a lookout.

Both are scheduled to be arraigned in Quincy District Court on Monday.
