A 65-year-old Georgia grandmother was repeatedly run over and killed in a Walmart parking lot by a thief who snatched her purse Monday evening.

As Johnson tries to get into her vehicle, the walks up behind her and tries to grab her purse, the video shows. Another auto rolls into the view and parked close by.
A woman is in critical condition at an Atlanta hospital after she was dragged by the getaway auto of a would-be purse snatcher outside Walmart in Covington.
“The driver, in this case the perpetrator, got in his vehicle and backed over the victim”, Malcom said.
Police told Channel 2’s Erica Byfield that they don’t have a great description of the man other than he is a bigger man, weighing around 300 pounds.
After prying the purse from the woman’s hands, the mugger jumped in his auto and ran over Johnson three or four times before leaving the crime scene, said Captain Craig Treadwell, of the Covington Police Department. He is however not very tall and sports a goatee-style beard.
The vehicle with the male driving, and a female seen in the passenger seat, left the Walmart parking lot and traveled south on Hwy. 142.
The auto he drove off with is a late light grey or silver Honda Accord model from the ’90s with four doors. It had either a temporary tag or an out-of-state tag.

Johnson was rushed to Newton Medical Center, where she later died from her injuries.
