Woman’s conjoined twins in critical condition at Augusta hospital

As the August newspaper reports: “Conjoined twins Chandler Kaiden and Chance Aiden Crafton were born by cesarean section Monday at Georgia Regents Medical Center and are in critical condition in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia, the health system reported”. They are listed in critical condition.

The boys’ mother, Brittany Crafton, is having to come to terms with this news at the conclusion of her first pregnancy.

Crafton said she is relying on her faith to help her though the delivery and care for the new infants.

The babies are scheduled to be delivered by C-Section on November 9th, and doctors say there is a good chance that the babies will survive. All she saw was two baby brothers, holding each other. The hospital said the boys can only be surgically separated if one of the babies is given a heart by a donor.

In spite of all the dangers and complications, Ms Crafton said she sees nothing wrong with her babies, who she is determined to raise. For now however, she says, “I just want them to get here”.

We will continue to bring you the latest updates on the family.

A GoFundMe Account has been launched with the hope of raising money to pay for the twins’ care.

On the page, friends wrote: ‘We are praying for our “miracle babies” and their strong and attractive mother.

“What makes this case special is that the heart the twins share is quite normal and has been functioning very well for them”.
