Authorities are investigating after a woman was shot as she was leaving Kennywood Park Saturday night, according to police.
Police said a 27-year-old woman was hit near the Grand Prix ride.
Police believe the gunshot came from outside the park, possibly from someone firing a gun to celebrate the holiday.
Police said witnesses who were interviewed did not report hearing or seeing a gunshot. Investigations have become curent to learn if the bullet was taken from a certain person close experiencing the Fourth of July. Police first believed it could have been a drive-by shooting, they say the woman was not targeted.
