Woman sues, says Sabres’ Evander Kane injured her

A woman has filed a lawsuit against Buffalo Sabres forward Evander Kane regarding an alleged sexual assault in December.

In complaints made to investigators, three different women accused Kane of grabbing their necks or hair in an aggressive attempt to have them come home with him, while a bouncer at the bar claimed Kane pushed him against a register before being grabbed by the bouncer and a security guard.

Kuechle further alleges that upon arriving at the hotel that morning, Kane physically battered her causing her to suffer “bodily injury including lacerations, extensive bleeding requiring multiple surgeries and blood transfusions, and serious emotional trauma”.

The 24-year-old Kane was arrested July 22 after turning himself in to Buffalo police and was charged with non-criminal harassment, disorderly conduct and trespass.

New details about the case are coming out today during Evander Kane’s arraignment stemming from his incident at a Buffalo bar weeks ago. He’s scheduled for his next court appearance September 9.

Court documents say Kane acted aggressively toward the women and members of the nightclub staff when asked to leave.

Kane and his attorney have denied the charges.

Kane is also now under investigation for harassing three women at a Buffalo bar. The 6-foot-3 power forward scored 20 goals in 65 games this past season for the Sabres and is expected to play a significant top-six role in the upcoming season.
