Woman suffers burns in acid attack
The 37-year-old is being treated in hospital after suffering burns to her face, neck and arms.

Today police have launched an appeal to hunt down the attacker and are appealing for partygoers or anyone who was in the area and may have witnessed the attack to contact them immediately.
“It happened outside in the middle of the square”. The Woman had the liquid thrown at her whilst on a night out.The liquid was thrown into her face.
The incident, which police said was isolated, prompted many to express their shock on social media.
The victim, age 37, was taken to Southampton General Hospital.
The attack happened outside Turtle Bay bar in Southampton around 9pm last night.
Firefighters used a hose reel to wash around a quarter of a pint of acid from the pavement.
Police cordoned off a 10 meter area near Turtle Bay in Southampton. The victim was taken to Southampton General Hospital. People must have seen it happen, it’s just so terrible !
One eyewitness described how the woman’s face began to melt “very quickly” after the attack, while another recalled how the male attacker appeared to know the woman – and fled towards Above Bar Street after throwing acid in her face.
