The barcode was used by an unknown person to withdraw the $900 winnings from an automated machine.

In the original post Chantelle held the TAB ticket next to her beaming face dressed in glamorous attire with the accompanying caption ‘Winner victor Chicken dinner!!’

Most friends on Facebook will be happy for you in times of celebrating personal winnings – but a few could use it as an opportunity to rip you off. You’re a massive dick. But so far, Chantelle is still waiting for her cash and only time will tell whether or not she ends up being a loser in the long run.

Triple M shared the photograph and spoke to Chantelle on air, who said police had tracked where the prize money was claimed and were confident they could find the culprit.

Needless to say, Chantelle was extremely upset and later wrote on Facebook: “To the low life who is obviously my friend on Facebook and used my photo to claim our winnings”.

She added: “We had already been up to the guy to claim our bet and when we found out we won so naturally I took a selfie to show my friends”.

“All of our profiles are private, so it has to be someone we would like to think of as an acquaintance, I will have to have a Facebook cull now”.

Facebook users were sympathetic and scathing in equal measure once the radio station posted the story online.
