Abdo wrote in her tweets posted at 9am the first one included an image of the man she has accused that the incident occurred at a lane next to Gateway of India at 7.50 am. “These other two were kind enough to respond to my calls for help”, she said in her tweet along with the picture of the culprit. Abdo who managed to click a picture of the accused soon after the incident posted it on twitter. “We will get a clear picture only when we record her statement”, said Vinay Gadgil, Senior Inspector of Colaba Police Station. Her tweet had gone viral and immediately after she tweeted there were several people following her reacted by retweeting her tweet. She said the three were on their way to Colaba Police Station with the young man, but that he slipped away en route. “I have therefore decided to take down the picture”.
There were also those who came forward to share similar experiences which they have been witnessed to.

She later took down the post and said that the matter has been handed over to the police. But when they discovered about the incident, cops contacted her. He added that the woman told the police that she would meet them on Tuesday, following which an FIR could be filed based on her complaint.
