She didn’t know that about 45 minutes after leaving, according to police, he killed 53-year-old Michelle Mishcon and 59-year-old John Stevens in a random attack. She told police her son had no history of mental illness or drug use, according to the report.

The FSU student said he was “here to protect people”, according to his mother. “We don’t know if anything is going to show up on toxicology or not”, she told the station.
However, Mina told police she did not believe Austin was a danger to himself or anyone else.
Harrouff is also being charged for stabbing Jeff Fisher, a neighbor who tried to intervene during the attack.
John Stevens, 59, and his wife Michelle Mishcon, 53, died at the scene.
“We had to get the flesh out of his teeth”, Martin County Sheriff William Snyder said. This test will give a more in depth result of what was in his system other than your typical street drugs (marijuana, cocaine, heroin, opioids, meth, etc.) The standard blood test will test for those “street drugs”. “I didn’t think he would hurt a fly”, Dame said. A friend confirmed the videos were of Harrouff. The top caption of his YouTube page notes: “I’ve got a psycho side and a normal side. I’ve lost my mind help me find it”. “His family is completely devastated, devastated for the other family and certainly devastated for their son”, said Suskauer. Their garage where they spent time together included a television, sofa and minibar.
“People, they start going insane, just like PCP and LSD did in the old days”, Kevin Stanfill a special agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Miami field office, told Jacksonville station WJXT. “He was really excited about it”, said Stevens IV. “He worked his entire life to get there, so this was really the prime of his life”, Stevens IV said.
He is a sophomore majoring in exercise science and played high school football.
At least that’s how one of his former teammates, Josh Lonsberry, remembers him. “He was a man of very little words, but when he spoke it was always important”. Adding that it took multiple officers and dogs to subdue him.
“I$3 never thought he would be capable of something like that”, Dame said. “That’s just the type of kid he was”.
In a 2015 recruiting profile posted online, Harrouff wrote he was enrolled in the rigorous International Baccalaureate program and was maintaining a 3.35 grade-point average.
“We were shocked”, said Livan Davidson, a member of Phi Kappa Psi, whose fraternity house is a few doors down from Alpha Delta Phi’s. It wasn’t until 2:30 a.m. Tuesday that they learned Harrouff was in the custody of Martin County sheriff’s officials. Healy said he goes to Tallahassee Community College now.
Snyder said Harrouff likely used “weapons of opportunity” in the couple’s garage, as well as a switchblade he was known to carry.
