It was reported that the woman was searching for her keys when the unfortunate incident happened.
The building manager, Yang Shao, explained that she was carrying some rubbish out when she lost her keys.
Yang said to her that he would manually move the lift up one floor while keeping the door open so she could try and get her keys, which she had dropped in the narrow space between the lift and the 5th floor.
But when after completing the task, he came to see her, if she had found the keys, he only found her kid standing there.
He asked where his mommy was.
The kid then said he had pushed her.
He then looked by the edge and saw the body lying at the bottom of the shaft.
