San Diego Comic Con is all about the “wow” factor and they definitely brought the wow with these two trailers.
“Doctor Strange” will introduce the element of magic in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
We got our first trailer for Wonder Woman – which will tell us the origin story of the DC superhero. The first movie shown in the MCU was Iron Man in 2008, which began the first phase of films culminating in the crossover film Marvel’s The Avengers in 2012. She won’t be the only Oscar victor joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as Lupita Nyong’o is joining the cast of Black Panther as Nakia, a warrior who serves as a bodyguard to Chadwick Boseman‘s King T’Challa, a.k.a. Malice.
Studio president and producer Kevin Feige played ringmaster, announcing: “We only want to come when we have a lot to show you”.
“The scale of it is something else”, said Cumberbatch, no stranger to playing beloved characters.
Viewers also glimpse the vehicular accident that renders unusual unable to perform surgery and Strange’s training under the tutelage of the Ancient One.
Marvel’s “Doctor Strange” starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Rachel McAdams, Mads Mikkelsen, Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Christine Palmer is set to hit theaters November 4, 2016.
“The Ancient One is a title that is not exclusively held by any one character, but rather a moniker passed down through time, and in this particular film the embodiment is Celtic”. Fans also got their first look at concept art of Michael Keaton as the film’s villain, Vulture.
The poster offered no surprises except for the addition of the 52-year-old actor, known for his roles in TV’s “Law & Order”, 2004 comic book movie “Catwoman” and this year’s “Ride Along 2”.
