Allen will star on the series, as will pop star Miley Cyrus, and Hollywood veteran Elaine May.
Amazon revealed more details on its upcoming Woody Allen comedy, his first foray into series television.
The official synopsis for “Crisis in Six Scenes” confirms that it will be set in the ’60s, “during turbulent times in the United States when a middle-class suburban family is visited by a guest who turns their household completely upside down”.
Much of the content has been kept under wraps, we do, however know that six-part show will debut on September 30.
Amazon’s other September comedy launches are the Tig Notaro comedy One Mississipi Sept. 9, the Phoebe Waller-Bridge vehicle Fleabag Sept. 16 and a new season of Transparent Sept. 23.
Amazon’s fall season for its streaming series is packed with a roster of both new and returning programs, including cult-appeal “The Man in the High Castle”, which is due back for its second season December 16. Red Oaks’ second season will bow November 11.
