Woody Allen’s Crisis in Six Scenes TV Trailer Drops
For as much hesitation Woody Allen had when it came to diving into the arena of television, directing his first-ever series for Amazon Studios, the first trailer can help assuage those fears. Following a first sneak peek, Crisis in Six Scenes at last comes forward with a first trailer, chock-full of “60s protests, book clubs, Black Panthers and a pot-dealing Miley Cyrus”. Set during the turbulent “60s in America, a middle-class couple and their houseguests have their lives up-ended by a radical hippie, played by Miley Cyrus”. Other cast members include comedian Lewis Black, Girls’ Becky Ann Baker, Stranger Things’ David Harbour and Orange Is the New Black’s John Magaro. Does it look like vintage Woody Allen in fine form? In particular, renewed allegations that he sexually abused daughter Dylan Farrow have caused some former fans to turn away from his films. Allen plays a character named Sidney Muntzinger.
