Police said the man attacked one woman inside a business and another in her vehicle, raping both of them.
A woman called officers, telling them a man entered her office and raped her at knife-point.
Prosecutors said Damon then fled in the auto, getting into two vehicle crashes in the area.
About 15 minutes later, an officer on patrol on Grove Street was flagged down by a man.
Less than 15 minutes later, a man told police his girlfriend leaving work on Main Street when she was attacked by a man that forced his way into her auto, taking off with the vehicle.
The victim also told police that afterward, Damon told her, “OK, you can call the police now if you want”. The man who knocked, later identified as Damon, was persistent and eventually got in and grabbed the woman’s throat and pushed her back, court documents said.
The Subaru was involved in a hit-and-run crash on Grove Street by Institute Road before the victim was able to escape from the vehicle.
The officer then issued a “be on the lookout” for the Subaru.
Cops said they first became aware of Damon’s rampage through downtown Worcester about 5 p.m. when they received a report of a rape at an office building on Main Street. Officer’s later learned that the carjacked woman had “bailed out of the vehicle”, while the suspect kept driving, said police. The suspect had the woman drive off with him in the auto. When police arrived to that scene, they saw a victim running out from a porch yelling that the suspect was inside.
Officers told the man to show his hands and the suspect complied.
Several officers struggled with Damon, who swore at them and said he has “an AK-47 and he wouldn’t hesitate to “spray” us”, cops said. He then allegedly broke into a businesses on Denny Street and attempted to rob it. He then smashed the glass door, reached inside, and unlocked the door.
He told the officer that his 21-year-old girlfriend was leaving work on Main Street when she was accosted by a man who forced his way into the auto.
Damon pleaded not guilty at his arraignment to a dozen charges including aggravated rape, armed robbery, kidnapping, and carjacking.
He is due to be arraigned in Worcester County District Court Wednesday morning.
