Would have done lot more work, but for obstacles by Centre: Kejriwal

Running through the initiatives taken by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government during a live interactive session in Delhi, Kejriwal called for repealing the no-detention policy under which every student is promoted till Class IX.
Kejriwal and others, who remained in the shrine for about an hour, also partook of “langar” (community food). They washed utensils and later paid obeisance at the sanctum sanctorum and attended ardas.
AAP leader Ashish Khetan was also booked by the Punjab Police on charge of hurting religious sentiments of the Sikhs by equating the manifesto with Guru Granth Sahib, the Bible and the Gita.
The Bharatiya Janata Party-led central government and the AAP-led Delhi government have been in a constant tussle over various issues including bureaucratic appointments.
Khetan’s visit on Monday morning was a surprise as observers believed he would skip the sewa to avoid any chance of being arrested. “Now I feel peace of mind”, he said.
Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan, who met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today, was seen sharing a good moment with the media personnel while responding to the questions raised by them.
As Kejriwal reached the Circuit House, activists of the All India Hindu Students Federation raised slogans against him and showed black flags. He said that truth alone prevails whereas Kejriwal always indulges in misleading gimmicks.
“Protest and demonstrations are democratic rights”.
The court adjourned the matter after Kejriwal’s counsel submitted that its earlier order, refusing to stay proceedings in the criminal defamation case, has been challenged in the Delhi High Court and the order is expected on July 21. “We have started work in war footing and I have asked all our MLAs to find land to set up transformers”, he said.
“Kejriwal and his aides are anti-Sanatan Dharam”.
“While releasing the manifesto, we inadvertently made some mistakes”.
