Would Trump Really Pick a Pro-Choice Vice President?
“Two days after he remarked that “women have to be able to choose” on abortion, retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, a lifelong Democrat who is being vetted as Donald Trump’s running mate, offered up his biography and respect for the rule of law as proof of his opposition to abortion”. ‘They are the ones that have to make the decision because they’re the ones that are going to decide to bring up that child or not’.

“If a liberal Republican presidential nominee from NY selecting as a running mate a disgruntled former general, who once worked for his Democrat opponent, sounds familiar to you, it’s because it should”, he wrote.
Donald Trump said Monday that he expects to decide on his vice presidential pick by the end of the week and that he is leaning toward a “political” pick rather than a “military” one.
The Trump campaign is quickly trying to do damage control, explaining that Flynn is in fact anti-abortion, although Flynn’s “clarification” is almost as unhelpful for the pro-life movement as his original comments were.
“First, he says that if pro-lifers want to change the law, they ought to vote, and then that they should stay home if this is their single issue”. “I do like the military, but I do very much like the political”, Trump told the newspaper.
Trump told Fox News this week that he has a list of 10 names that he is considering.
About the possibility of him being picked as a running mate, Flynn said, “It’s wonderful to me, for a kid from a little town in the smallest state in the union, Rhode Island”.
Trump’s comments in recent days have incited speculation about his short-list, which is also said to include Indiana Governor Mike Pence, Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton, and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.
In some ways, the tough-talking general could make an ideal running mate for Trump. “I believe right now we have a law“.
It is Trump himself, and not his advisors, behind the push for Flynn, the report said.
His call for unification comes amid a plan by #NeverTrump members to try to dump him at the convention, and a skein of Republicans who are skipping the convention. “I got more votes than anyone in the history of the Republican primary – by millions”.
“Donald Trump doesn’t understand or care about women’s health or lives”, Dawn Laguens, executive vice president of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, said in a statement.
According to the publication, the 57-year-old served as the director of the Defense Intelligence Agency from 2012 to 2014, and has most recently acted as Trump’s “informal advisor”.

On another top issue for religious conservatives, Flynn basically declined to answer questions about same-sex marriage, saying the main issue in the election is national security. I’m more concerned that our country could collapse because we are not dealing with education issues, immigration issues…
