Wounded in Shooting at Indianapolis Mall

A mask-wearing gunman has opened fire at a shopping mall in Indiana, injuring three people, local media reported. Another man and a woman were taken to Eskenazi Health with non life-threatening injuries.

According to WTHR, two to three people were shot at the mall.

Police responded to reports of a shooting at the Washington Square Mall earlier tonight.

One witness who was in Target described people running and screaming, saying “active shooter”.

Target employee Erika Thomas says she was at the back of the store at the time of the shooting.

Thomas says customers inside were checked out and the store was then closed. Police said there may be a second suspect.

Reporters say they have been kicked off the property by mall security.

A witness said on Twitter he heard about 15 shots fired.

Talked to 2 workers from Burlington Coat Factory at the mall.

The mall is located at the intersection of Mitthoeffer Road and Washington Street on the Eastside.
