WR Greg Jennings says he’s retiring after decade in NFL

While the Packers have had a relatively uneventful offseason (as usual in Green Bay), there has been a lot going on internally with the team that fans have been hearing about and can finally get a preview of in the next coming weeks.

All eyes are on the state of Jordy Nelson’s knee, with last year’s torn ACL ultimately dooming the Green Bay Packers season before the kickoff of the regular season.

“Through training this summer, I had an incident with the other knee”. Nothing serious. Just something minor. The Packers have also said that they might be cautious with Nelson as he comes back from injury. “Everybody has things they need to work on, we all do, and frankly like I said, Eddie’s ready to go”.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy believes Aaron Rodgers is in the best shape of his career.

“I’m exhausted of talking about it”, Lacy said. “No one needs to freak out”.

And it happened last after the NFC Championship Game loss to Seattle when he gave up play-calling duties and tore up special teams. That’s the lowest weight Rodgers has been at during his Packers career and McCarthy said Monday that the quarterback’s efforts have paid off.

But the offense took a step back last season, in part because of Nelson’s absence. Without a consistent deep threat, defenses played press coverage on receivers.

Preseason Watchability Guide: The Packers have, depending on your feelings about the preseason, the privilege or the burden of participating in the Hall of Fame Game, meaning they will play five exhibitions. Nelson, who is entering his ninth National Football League season, is renowned for his work ethic.

“We missed a year together”, Rodgers said, per Fox Sports’ Ryan Lund. “Probably a couple days”, Rodgers said. He’s a special guy.

Jared Cook’s foot surgery: Just added this offseason as a street free agent, Jared Cook has already undergone surgery on his foot. “I know more times than not my natural reaction is go back to the basics and that’s really what we’ve done as an offensive staff, and I would think our players echo that”.

“I’m done”, Jennings said, “but I’m just getting started”.

And often when it’s time to rebuild, the construction team isn’t the same. Thinking the injury wasn’t too serious, he continued practicing. He would only say that he plans to play in the regular-season opener at Jacksonville on September 11. The NFL cleared former QB Peyton Manning of any wrongdoing on Monday morning.
