Wrestlemania coming back to Orlando, WWE could be coming to Universal Orlando
John Cena confirmed what many suspected Tuesday, as the 15-time WWE world champion announced that he will not compete at WrestleMania 32 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Mayor Buddy Dyer told the Orlando Sentinel that he hopes Central Florida will be part of a regular rotation for WrestleMania, with the event coming to the Orlando area “maybe every five years”. In 2012, Miami-Dade County welcomed WrestleMania 28 with Rock vs. Cena at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens. “And as WrestleMania 32 beckons, I am doing all that I can, but my position is that of a member of the WWE Universe – for the first time in a decade and a half, I will watch WrestleMania”. But the top matches of Triple H vs. Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar vs. Dean Ambrose and The Undertaker vs. Shane McMahon are already set for the WrestleMania card, and it’s highly doubtful that WWE will do anything to change that. Reports have also indicated Sami Zayn will make his main roster return at “Roadblock” to resume his NXT feud against Owens.

Unfortunately, if the Twin Cities is going to host Wrestlemania, it now won’t be until Wrestlemania 34 in 2018 at the earliest. They also estimated more than 50,000 visitors came to Orlando for the WrestleMania festivities. The WWE played up WrestleMania’s financial impact on Tuesday, noting the last four events have led to more than $100 million in revenue to the local economies.

Orlando’s Amway Center will likely host the WWE Hall of Fame Induction and an episode of Monday Night Raw the evening following WrestleMania.
