Allegedly McBride wanted to leave the house and became violent when Lawler refused to let his fiancee drive drunk.

Police arrested both because they weren’t able to determine who was the primary aggressor.

Some details of the incident are known however, and include the presence of a gun and a possible threat of suicide.

WWE has a zero tolerance policy when it comes to domestic violence, stating that ‘Upon arrest for such misconduct, a WWE talent will be immediately suspended.

The WWE released a statement about the incident, announcing an indefinite suspension for Lawler.

“Jerry Lawler was arrested at his home Friday morning by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office in Memphis, Tenn”. He said she was drunk when she told him she knew where the gun was and threatened to kill herself.

He said that McBride was intoxicated and alleged that she was the one who brought the pistol in the kitchen after getting it out of his garage.

When officers arrived at Lawler’s East Memphis residence, McBride, 27, told them that she and Lawler, 66, had been arguing and that Lawler struck her.

In her rage she clawed at his face, kicked him and threw a candle at him, he told police.

She alleged that Lawler went upstairs and retrieved an unloaded pistol that he put on the kitchen counter and told her to “go ahead and kill yourself”.
