Wrexham improves in GCSE results
EAGER students started to queue outside the hall entrance at John of Gaunt to collect their GCSE results this morning.

Mr Jardine said: “We have had some fantastic individual results and it testament to the hard work and dedication of our students and staff whom I would like to say a huge thank you”.
At Norham High School, North Shields, 54 per cent of students achieved five or more A*-C grades, including in English and maths – an impressive increase of 19 per cent on a year ago.
Teachers are said to be delighted with the results as 100% of girls achieved A*-C grades in five or more subjects.
Some of the 247 children who took the exams were so keen to find out their grades that they literally ran into the school’s gymnasium to pick them up from staff.
Danae Zuccala, 16, was awarded 11 A* grades including the new highest award of A* distinction in further maths.
“Colleagues deserve credit for their continued effort and commitment to giving our students the best possible opportunities in life and that includes their GCSE results”. Bryanna an Year 11 student said, “I knew I could do it but did not think I could do this well, the hard work has really paid off”. I wish them all the very best of luck in their future studies.
“The school has made significant overall improvement in the standard of achievement at numerous levels at both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4”, he said.
Matthew Skillen who achieved five grade As, four grade Bs and one grade C.
