The Chicago Cubs today announced the Sunday, September 25 game vs. the St. Louis Cardinals at Wrigley Field, currently listed as “TBD”, has been selected for an exclusive national telecast by ESPN and is now scheduled to begin at 7:08 p.m. CT.
If the Cubs win the National League Central Division, they would open the postseason with home games October 7 and 8.
Fans who register will be notified via email if they have been selected for a chance to get tickets. Game 5, if necessary, would be October 13 at Wrigley Field. The sod is available on a first-come, first-serve basis at the corner of Waveland and Clifton, which is just northwest of Wrigley Field.
It’s that time of year again.
Every year, Wrigley Field strips the grass from the ballpark so new sod can be laid on the field before the end of the team’s regular season games and possible playoff run.
They had a similar system for the playoffs previous year.
You have until September 21 to register for the drawing. Those fans will be eligible for future drawings if the Cubs continue to advance in the postseason.

Prices and the on-sale date for single-game postseason tickets will be announced after the September 21 deadline. Being selected in a drawing does not guarantee the opportunity to purchase tickets to a postseason game, the Cubs said in the announcement.
