Wrongful death lawsuit against Caitlyn Jenner dismissed

TMZ reported that Caitlyn was able to reach a deal with William Howe and Dana Redmond, ending one of the lawsuits plaguing the transgender reality star.

Jenner’s attorney, Philip Boesch Jr., confirmed the news Thursday to the Associated Press.

According to authorities, the accident occurred on the Pacific Coast Highway when Howe’s Lexus rear-ended a Toyota Prius driven by a women identified as Jessica Steindorff.

Caitlyn was not injured in the deadly crash.

TMZ reports that Howe and Redmond received a “very modest amount” of money from Jenner’s insurance company.

The family filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Jenner in May a year ago.

Jenner reportedly rear-ended another vehicle in Malibu, starting a chain reaction.

The family pursued their lawsuit against Jenner, which accused her of being “careless, negligent, and reckless” as well as seeking unspecified damages.

Prosecutors declined to file a misdemeanor manslaughter charge in late September citing insufficient evidence.

Before she was cleared of any criminal charges, Jenner told NBC’s “Today” show that she remembered “very little” about the crash.

Initially, the family of music producer Peter Wolf-Millesi sued the estate of Kim Howe for $18.5 million, claiming the deceased driver was to blame for the head-on collision with his Hummer.

The crash in which Jenner was involved in killed Kim Howe after her auto was moved into oncoming traffic in February of 2014.
