EA and DICE have put out a new Battlefield 1 gameplay trailer focusing on some of the weapons you’ll be waging war with when the game launches later this year. While the developers admit that they are not taking a direct recreation of certain weapons from the war, they did quite a bit of intensive research to understand how these weapons felt, sounded, and fired.

Speaking in the video, era game designer Martin Kopparhed makes reference to the “huge variety of weapons in this war”, many of which the team at DICE has added to the game. Check out Design Director Lars Gustavsson and friends talk about it all.
Feel the intensity and immersion as Battlefield 1 takes advantage of this modern arsenal to deliver the experience fans love, but with a fresh and modern twist.
This will be a more up close and personal battle with melee weapons, machine guns, rifles, sidearms, and more.
“The weapons that you will use in Battlefield 1 were, at the time, the summit of engineering, and inspired much of the powerful weapons used in modern warfare”, said DICE. Battlefield 1’s WW1 action shooter has got the lot.

The new Battlefield 1 will be released on the 21st of October but we should be seeing a beta version before that. “We also have unbelievable weapon skins, which we’ll talk more about in the coming months”.
