WWE, John Cena, A.J
With an eye toward establishing how the superstars of Raw and SmackDown Live stand after the first SmackDown Live-exclusive pay-per-view and leading into Raw’s debut effort in that realm, five ESPN WWE writers – Brian Campbell, Peter Rosenberg, Arash Markazi, Tim Fiorvanti and Sean Coyle – each ranked the talents they deem to present the most value to WWE’s on-screen product. Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss came to the ring and insulted each other. To kick off the show tonight, General Manager Daniel Bryan decides to have a contract signing. Bryan went on to add that the new contract could only be implemented if Miz defended his title.

Wanting more, the Usos then went backstage to challenge Rhyno and Heath Slater for their tag team belts. Despite the similar, though not quite identical finish to their match at “Backlash”, it was still one of the night’s most entertaining matches, owing to The Miz and Ziggler’s excellent chemistry in the ring.
Unsurprisingly, The Usos work on Gable’s leg throughout the match, making the end of the match a 2-on-1 affair. Jack Swagger sat in on commentary for the match. Ziggler pulled The Miz into the ring but got sprayed in the face while the referee wasn’t looking.
Baron Corbin cornered Apollo Crews into the ring post with double boots and then carried out the End of Days for the win.
We also noted that John Cena is now scheduled to work the WWE Survivor Series PPV, which is a co-branded Raw and Smackdown event. Daniel Bryan has sorted out an improved SmackDown Live contract for his IC Champion, as fans of the blue brand breathe a sigh of relief. Will Bray Wyatt take some revenge on the Viper now that Orton can take bumps?

How will John Cena react to Dean Ambrose’s attitude adjustment, DA’s new state of mind not Cena’s finishing manoeuver, as WWE World Champion A.J. Styles stalks them both? He made it very clear that he wants the WWE World Championship, but former champion Dean Ambrose is going to fight him tooth and nail for it. He may return at any time and be in the thick of the action exactly like how he is being pushed for the title with Styles and Ambrose.
