Roman Reigns retained his WWE World Heavyweight Championship, while Charlotte held on to her Women’s Title and Dean Ambrose absolutely beat down on Chris Jericho. Styles, gifted with superior wrestling skills, will be a lot more unsafe because of his alleged affiliation with former Bullet club members Karl Andersen and Luke Gallows. Two things were immediately clear from the start of the match: AJ Styles is a true main eventer and the WWE Universe still hates Roman Reigns.
Kevin Owens defeated Sami Zayn after he countered a charging Zayn with a superkick. These two Canadian born Superstars were the best of friends for several years before arriving in WWE. It seems either his character has turned a corner or WWE is booking him differently. All the fans want that the Roman Reigns will win this match tonight.
The guys also break down things they like and dislike about current WWE storylines, including the status of the Intercontinental title and just what the heck they have in mind for Dean Ambrose moving forward. The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion never lost his title, and when he returns, he will undoubtedly go after the championship he never lost in the first place.
What we learned: Owens’ feud with Zayn isn’t as finished as he would like it to be.

Since I have to pick a victor for Payback, I think Owens will find a way to defeat Zayn, but it will not be in a very definitive fashion. It’s as if Vince McMahon is delusional enough now to try to convince his audience that the same old, same old is suddenly the lead for this “new era” in his company.
At “Payback”, Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady fought against The Vaudevillains to determine the No. 1 contender for the WWE Tag Team Championship, but the match ended abruptly when Amore awkwardly hit the ropes when he was thrown off the ring. Even Natalya and uncle Bret Hart putting dual Sharpshooters on Charlotte and Ric Flair didn’t really make up for a lame ending to the match.
Mr. McMahon also revealed that both his children- Shane and Stephanie McMahon will run the Monday Night Raw. Nearly all the match of WWE Payback 2016 is very entertaining. Vince’s McMahon’s odd decision at Payback left head’s scratching as question rose on whether Stephanie and Shane could co-exist. The story here is that Corbin can dominate Ziggler one-on-one, but he’s an overconfident rookie and Ziggler’s a “vennern”, so Dolph’s able to steal a surprise win.
The Vaudevillians will be taking on Enzo and Cass for the number one contender spot for the Tag Team titles, and they need to win. The Miz tapped out to the Sharpshooter, but the ref was distracted by a brawl that had broken out between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn at ringside. As a result, The Miz (c) retains. He needs the win, especially after losing to Lesnar at WrestleMania, and Jericho is leaving at some point (not sure when), so he can afford to take a loss to Ambrose here. The two have been feuding back and forth for some time now dating back to the cancellation of the “Highlight Reel” of Y2J. As a result, Charlotte (c) retains.
Main Event – Miz w/ Maryse vs Roman Reigns, with A.J. Styles sitting at ringside: Reigns was victorious by finishing Miz off with a spear and getting the pinfall. This will be a good match, with the excellent Styles being paired with Reigns to help give the new champion a strong match. Styles then hit the Phenomenal Forearm, but Reigns managed to get his foot on the ropes.
