WWE Raw Results: ECW Star Returns, Stable War Starts

TLC marks the fourth 2015 PPV at which Reigns will have a match for the company’s top title, and he’s fought for the right to have a WWE World Heavyweight Title match at three other PPV’s.

With the exception of the 2013 installment, every event has featured at least one Tables match, one Ladder match, one Chairs match, and one TLC match. While Breeze didn’t come into play at the end like I expected him to Ambrose came out and, in a very Ambrose move, threw his popcorn and soda in Owen’s face. Some fans may not have been interested in the story or the people involved, but again, I will totally give the writers credit where it is due for this one.

There were a handful of pleasant matches featured on the main roster programming this week, but I wanted to shine some light on a tag match from this week’s NXT. I know it’s hard to book her since she can nearly certainly rip other Divas apart she should be given some ring time. The Usos are well established and don’t need the belts, and The Lucha Dragons haven’t gained a whole lot of steam with the crowd.

As usual, I just don’t understand why, and that’s a major problem for a show run by a man who tells you they don’t do wrestling, they make movies.

Owens has been known for his wisecracks, but this time, he took aim at the reigning WWE champion for some errors on his tweets, which were only made big by the Intercontinental champion. She did the unthinkable on the last RAW before this event – SHE SLAPPED THE NATURE BOY!

The Miz introduces Charlotte and Ric Flair for Miz TV. However, Owens has been one of the most dominant IC Champions in years.

Ryback and Rusev worked a segment that ended with the former being laid out by the latter, which was pretty uneventful. Jack Swagger and Stardust worked a pointless match, with Stardust taking an unnecessary loss. Del Rio starts whacking Swagger and Stardust with a chair. Oddly enough, Del Rio broke things off with Colter because he accidently tripped over his scooter. If he’s going to have his big moment, the WWE might as well wait until WrestleMania, rather than a secondary event like TLC, especially since Sheamus just won the gold. While Dreamer beating him would’ve been unbelievable they could’ve let him have some offense.

Sheamus again refused, though, because there were tables, ladders, and chairs in the ring and he may look stupid but he’s too smart to climb in and get hit with any of those things.

They got to the real reason they put this together, League of Nations vs. The Family, and they were actually well on their way to getting it right with a fun closing sequence.
