Later in the evening, Orton was not cleared to compete, so, WWE went ahead with Wyatt attacking Orton backstage, and causing a kayfabe injury, and Wyatt technically defeated Orton by forfeit.
In the end, we would get to see feud continuing between Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt.
Wyatt, afterwards was challenged by Kane to a No Holds Barred match, Wyatt accepted, this was a big mistake on Wyatt’s part, as he was destroyed by Kane.
The Usos def. The Hype Bros by Jey Uso pinning Mojo Rawley following the Samoan Splash. Backlash featured huge moments, like the first-ever SmackDown Women’s and Tag Team Champions (Becky Lynch, and Heath Slater & Rhyno, respectively).

This past Sunday, the WWE Network hosted SmackDown’s first brand-specific Pay-Per-View since the draft in July, Backlash (Which I predicted 100% correctly, by the way.). And it’ll be brought to you by WWE 2K17 The Video Game. He also set up a tag team match between Cena-Ambrose vs Style and partner of his preference as SmackDown Live’s main event for the night.
