WWE Smackdown spoilers and analysis: 30th July 2015

Perhaps a better route to go, and hopefully WWE are planning to do this, would be to have Rollins defend his title at Summerslam in a fatal four way against John Cena, Kevin Owens and Cesaro. Kevin Owens also comes out ringside for guest commentary.

Rollins and Owens tease a confrontation, but end up turning and both attacking Cesaro before some referees break it up.

It won’t be the last of these superstars tonight, as they will participate in a tag-team match.

Last week’s show saw a big upswing in the quality of matches and non-wrestling segments for the blue brand, and that continued with Thursday’s episode.

New Day, The Ascension vs. Los Matadores, Lucha Dragons (8-man tag match) – Kalisto rolls up Viktor with a scissors lock for the pin.

-Rusev and Summer Rae cut a promo on Lana and what happened on Raw. Rusev then had a match against Jack Swagger, who received a big hometown pop since he resides in the Oklahoma.

Owens and Rollins formed a tag team to face Cesaro and a mystery partner.

R-Truth vs. Stardust – Stardust finishes Truth with a Queen’s Crossbow.

The main event should be a very solid match but having Owens take the pinfall loss isn’t great as he hasn’t won for a long time. Having the brewing Cesaro vs Owens feud once again crossover with Seth Rollins is definitely interesting. Cesaro and Ambrose ended up winning the match with a pin on Owens.

Unfortunately, the advertised match between Becky Lynch and Nikki Bella never happened. Lynch defeated Brie Bella.

Will the Divas Revolution continue on SmackDown?
