The gunman, reported to be a military veteran, fled the scene on a bicycle and shot himself as officers approached.
Cheyenne Police Department spokesman Dan Long said he could not provide additional information when reached by email.
In a Facebook post, the force wrote: “Cheyenne Police responded to an active shooter at 3912 Greg Way at about 11 this morning”. The suspect shot two victims outside the building and one inside the building, police said.
What appeared to be a covered body remained at the scene after the shootings.
