X Factor’s Ivy Grace Paredes pulls out

On tonight’s Boot Camp instalment, viewers were impressed as Ivy Grace Paredes wowed the judges and easily sailed through to next week’s Six Chair Challenge. “That meant she was not granted a visa in time and sadly had to withdraw from the competition”, rep added.

One of the top contenders on this season of The X Factor UK has been forced to leave the competition: Ivy Grace Paredes had to withdraw from the competition due to issues with her visa application.

In the Judges’ Houses round, the remaining 24 contestants will battle it out to secure one of the final 12 slots.

It’s not yet known why Ivy was denied entry into the America – where her mentor Sharon Osbourne was shooting her segment for the round – but it’s thought something from her past cropped up on the visa check and has now shattered her chances of progressing in the competition.

‘She was point blank refused the visa. Paredes belonged to the over-25s group, which is mentored by television personality Sharon Osbourne.

“X Factor tried their best to help, but ran out of time”, the sources revealed. Last May, she flew to London to audition for The X Factor UK, which started allowing global contestants to join the competition previous year.

According to The Sun, Ivy was not granted a visa to travel to the United States for Sharon Osbourne’s Judges’ Houses.

Still, it’s a shame to lose Ivy. For the past seven years, she had been performing as a singer at the Regent Palace Hotel and the Comedy Junction Bar in Al Mamzar. Should X Factor bosses have perhaps gone through some options for Ivy before ruling her out of the contest because she was unable to attend a few days’ worth of the competition?
