The Red Sox will try to avoid a four-game sweep when they host the White Sox in the series finale on Thursday.

The Rangers (47-26) now are down three starting pitchers and head into a three-game series against the Boston Red Sox with a makeshift rotation.

White Sox: Open a three-game series at Toronto. The Red Sox are getting odds of -165 to win, while the Rangers are getting a money line of +150 to prevail. “I don’t think it’s anything unusual”. He cruised into the sixth before walking the first two batters.

On Monday, closer Craig Kimbrel allowed a go-ahead, two-run double in the 10th inning of a 3-1 loss.

As for the Rangers, they’re 5-1 in their last six games against a left-handed starter, and 37-16 in their last 53 overall.

“We get down 4-1, we find a way to fight back into it, tie it back up, take the lead”, Farrell said, via ESPN.com. Brentz immediately caught fire; he burst onto the minor league scene in 2011, hitting.306/.365/.574 with 30 HR and 94 RBI. Shields was done after the two free passes, with Matt Albers replacing him, guarding a tenuous two-run lead and potential win for Shields. “Coming in here to Boston, one of the best teams, best hitting teams in the league, and to do what we did, three out of four, is pretty good”.

Braves 4, Mets 3 – At Atlanta: Adonis Garcia hit a go-ahead, two-run homer off Addison Reed in the eighth inning and Atlanta beat NY for the fourth straight time in a week. However, Porcello managed to get Cabrera on the ground, which translated into a double play scoring one run. “Any time you get to pitch in a ballgame, it’s a good deal”. Second baseman Cesar Hernandez also made an impact by reaching base five times with four hits, three runs scored and a walk.

Hall of Famers Tom “Satch” Sanders (from ’66 team) and John Havlicek (’76) threw out ceremonial first pitches along with the GM of the ’86 team – Jan Volk.

Jose Abreu hit a three-run homer and Alex Avila had four hits for Chicago. But the thing that scares me is the fact that the current Red Sox front office is afraid to let players go even after they’ve peaked. I truly think that with what Uehara has done for the Sox during the span of 2013-2015 will make him stay on the roster for the remainder of the 2016 season, which is pathetic for the Red Sox in my opinion.

The same James Shields whom the Padres paid to go away, the same one that was battered by good and bad and in-between lineups, shut out the Sox for the first five innings. Over three appearances (one start) and a 1-1 record this year, Martinez has managed a 5.14 ERA and a 2.00 WHIP in seven innings of work.
