Xavi predicts how many trophies Pep Guardiola will win this season

Football agent Dimitri Seluk has continued to hit out at Pep Guardiola by claiming that the Manchester City manager described the Premier League club as “shit” in 2010.

Dimitri Seluk questioned whether Guardiola had the balls to say that he was wrong to humiliate a great player like Yaya should City not win the Champions League.

Since his comment, the player hasn’t been considered for the club’s EPL games, despite being fully fit.

It seems unlikely that their point of impasse will ease any time soon, meaning that Toure has probably made his last appearance for Man City.

But that apology will not come from Seluk who has accused Guardiola of behaving like “a king” on the back of eight straight wins at City. The boy from the Ivory Coast brought over to Europe by his Ukrainian fixer – they are a unusual double act, but then football has a habit of creating some unlikely player-agent partnerships.

Speaking to Barcelona-based radio station Cadena SER, Seluk was scathing of Guardiola, saying he told Toure exactly what he thought of his next employers. I will apologise to Guardiola if he will apologise to [Manuel] Pellegrini for what he did to him.

He also added: “Pep doesn’t want players with personality”.

“Guardiola only goes where there is a lot of money”. After all, Guardiola’s brother Pere is an agent of some success, representing Luis Suarez among others.

Touré played for Guardiola at Barcelona before being sold to City in 2010.

Manchester City have there is no reason he can’t achieve that. If he doesn’t, the player is bad.

Pep Guardiola won 14 trophies at Barcelona, a treble in his first year in charge to start his managerial career. Toure announced his retirement from global soccer on the same day Guardiola and Seluk waged their verbal tug of war, meaning he won’t play in the Africa Cup of Nations next year. And so we come to today, with Guardiola reaching the end of his tether.

Years after retirement he bumped into an acquaintance who revealed to him that Brian Clough had wanted to sign him at Nottingham Forest but, blocked at square one by the player’s club manager, never took the interest any further.
