Tonight, yet again, Xbox Live is having some big issues.

At the time of writing, issues are still being reported globally on Twitter, with players seemingly unable to access multiplayer features in most reported cases.
Shortly after the problems began, Microsoft issued a statement explaining that it “understand(s) some of you might be having a tough time signing in to Xbox Live”. Thanks for your patience!

We will only use the phone number that you provide to notify you when the service or app is back up and running. On top of being useful for some of the games that are arriving on Xbox, it’s also going to be a huge help for other functions on the Xbox One, including Windows 10 to Xbox streaming (which is going to require mouse and keyboard flat-out).

Some gamers on social media are complaining that they are not able to boot up their digital games due to the unavailability of Xbox live service – This means the gamers who want to play download-only version won’t be able to do so because it won’t start. These were creating new Xbox Live accounts, “managing those accounts”, recovering accounts on a different device, and signing into Xbox Live.
