Xbox One Preview access just got a lot more exclusive

Microsoft won’t be able to deliver an earlier promise but the company is sure to make up for it soon.

Taking to the Xbox Preview Program forums, Microsoft revealed that they would be sending out less invitations for the program.

To recall, the Xbox One was launched back in September 2014 in India and was exclusively available on Amazon while prices for the latest generation console started at Rs 39,990. The tech giant initially announced the release of the next batch of Xbox One backwards compatible games this week but it will not be pushing through.

Microsoft’s Xbox One is said to be made available for purchase from brick-and-mortar retail stores, starting next month. However, Xbox could have resurgence in sales this fall because of the exclusives offered on the console. Spencer also said recently that backwards compatibility might extend to original Xbox games.

This feature won’t be rolled out to all Xbox One users until November with that major Xbox One update. This was a huge win for Xbox and Xbox One owners. Naturally, the slight glimmer of victory was all that it took for Microsoft to up the ante even more.

“Yes, sub distributors already have stock of the console and are doing trial runs at select Microsoft stores”, confirmed a buyer for a specialist game store.
