Ahead of E3 2016 Major Nelson has unveiled more details about what you can expect to enjoy in the upcoming Xbox summer update which is available to Xbox Preview program members this week.

According to some rumors, we might see a new Xbox. Below is a rundown of everything else it adds and changes, with descriptions courtesy of Microsoft. A release for everyone else will follow later, sometime in the summer, which officially begins on June 20. Bethesda made Fallout 3 a bonus for those who pre-ordered the Xbox One version of Fallout 4, and if ever The Elder Scrolls 6 gets announced, Microsoft might do the same deal for Skyrim. Also, if the same Microsoft account is synced across various platforms, Cortana notebook information will be attached to the Xbox One as well.

Cortana on the Xbox One is the biggest feature of the coming update and looks rather useful. But with Cortana’s integration, Microsoft promises a more fluid and conversational experience. This will make adding friends even easier while on Xbox Live.

Players will now find it easier to share screenshots, game footages and achievements on Xbox One.

Last year, Xbox One transformed to an easier, faster and more social Xbox One Experience, and since then it has been delivering regular fan requested features and updates.

Improved personal activity feed – The update will bring new settings that will allow gamers to decide what will automatically be shared on your feed. With Cortana, gamers can use the same ploy the voice assistant offered on Windows 10 PC and mobile operating niches, an interesting twist that takes some load off a gamer’s palms. Another Windows feature you’ll notice on your Xbox One after the update: Win32 games that support Xbox Live will appear in your activity feed.

In the Windows Store, Microsoft said you’ll be able to browse and purchase bundles, episodic games, and season passes.

Finally, top PC games will show up on Xbox Live. For instance, you won’t be able to turn on your Xbox One via the headset.

One other way they’re converging their gaming ecosystems is by letting you edit and share screenshots and clips that you’ve captured on your Xbox on your PC. So far, though, this optimization is just for the Xbox Live community-if you want to share to Twitter, for example, you’ll need the updates to the beta Xbox app.

Updated GameDVR management: Manage what you capture straight from your profile. This new destination allows you to share, start your own uploads, and see progress in the queue.

PC gaming gets a nod too – while you won’t be able to play PC games on your Xbox console (yet, anyway) PC games will get their own Game Hub in the dashboard.

Microsoft isn’t releasing the new updates to everyone; that should occur later this summer.
