Also during Build 2016, Microsoft introduced the “Cortana Intelligence Suite”, and the “Microsoft Cognitive Services” APIs for natural communication processing, which should help make Cortana even more capable in the near future.

With the latest update, Windows Ink – Microsoft’s new experience that lets you write on your device as you do on paper – comes integrated into apps like Maps, Microsoft Edge, and Office. Any message the user sends from the Windows 10 PC will be received as coming from the Android device. That’s largely because iOS is a lot more restricted, and Microsoft’s Cortana app would not have the access required to interact with notifications and respond to messages. Among them was the announcement of the Windows 10 Anniversary update, headed our way in the summer.
On the day one of Build 2016, Microsoft addressed developers across different platforms, showcasing tools that they can use to bring their apps to the Windows Store. With the Xbox Dev Mode also being a part of the update, every Xbox One can be converted into a developer kit. She’ll act as a “personal gaming assistant”, helping you to find new games and provide tips.
This functionality will also understandably be available for those with Windows 10 Mobile devices, but it will no longer be exclusive to Microsoft’s mobile platform. The software giant also announced the HoloLens Development Edition for developers and enterprises while highlighting that developers can use the Universal Windows Platform to create new mixed reality with holograms.
Improving the ability to only ever focus on one device at a time – the Windows 10 one – should help matters.

With that update, Microsoft plans to merge the Windows Store and Xbox One store into a single marketplace, though it’s unclear exactly how this will work.
