Company president Karl Slatoff made the announcement as part of the company’s quarterly earnings call.

In XCOM 2 twenty years have passed since the events of the first game, now aliens rule the Earth and make false promises of a brighter future for all of mankind whilst hiding a more sinister agenda. Currently, XCOM 2 developer, Firaxis, has partnered with The Evil Within developer, The Workshop, to make adapting the game to consoles go as smoothly as possible. XCOM 2 still has the strategic gameplay embedded in the heart of the title but there are new features. The XCOM 2 DLC includes Shen’s Last Gift, Alien Hunters and Anarchy’s Children. It would also include the new XCOM recruit dubbed as the Survivor of the Old War what will appear in the new Avenger’s barracks base.

On Sept. 27, PS4 and Xbox One players in North America will already be able to access the game, while those outside the country will only be able to grab hold of the title on Sept. 30.
