Xi Jinping to Trump: There have been ‘positive changes’ on Korean peninsula
President Trump needs to understand that Kim Jong Un maintains a tight grip on North Korea’s nuclear weapons as a deterrent against USA -led regime change.

Gabbard said she wants Trump to negotiate with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un personally.
“I think whatever they do, whatever they say”, said Wit, “it’s going to be supportive of what the South Korean government is trying to achieve”. That, coupled with the fact that Trump made the comment about Kim while rattling off a list of regional leaders he has great relationships with in the present, means the notion that Trump might have said “I’d” probably never occurred to the transcriber.
Asked if he was anxious about the possibility of nuclear war, Pope Francis said: “I think we are at the very limit. I just don’t want to comment”.
The White House and Wall Street Journal issued contradicting statements on whether or not President Trump was misquoted in a recent interview about his relationship with North Korea.
Both the newspaper, owned by Trump’s friend Rupert Murdoch, and the White House released their own recordings of the same brief section of the interview to back up their positions. North and South Korea held their first official talks in two years, resulting in the North being allowed to participate in the Pyeongchang Olympics, along with a pledge to keep talking. I like him a lot.
Trump’s response to Kim’s threat came hours after USA ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley warned that North Korea may be preparing for another missile test.
“By conducting different military actions, one of the objectives that the USA might have is to drive a wedge between political leaders and military leaders inside North Korea”, he added.
Instead Trump has a nuclear “football” with military plans and communication tools that, as the president, Trump can use if he needs to order a strike, according to another Newsweek report.
The source also said allies recognize North Korea is not just a regional threat, but a global concern.
And while he surely welcomes the US commitment to fight the North on his country’s behalf as an insurance policy, Moon does not want a second Korean war, and he does not want President Trump making the decision as to whether there shall be one.
But the fearless tyrant taunted the American president, who he said cannot attack North Korea because the country’s nukes can now reach anywhere in the US.
WSJ: Some people would see your tweets, which are sometimes combative towards Kim Jong Un… I’m not saying I have or haven’t.

In the same interview with CNN, Tillerson said that through his tweets, the President “has demonstrated to the world how high the stakes are”.
