Xiaomi announces cheapest 4K Android TV with curved display

This is available in two different variants and among them one is 43-inch flat display smaller Full HD TV whereas the other variant is 65-inch 4K model. The Xiaomi Mi TV 3S comes with 65-inch curved display, which makes it company’s first curved television.

Xiaomi, which is the biggest smartphone seller in China had earlier this month launched its latest flagship smartphone Mi 5 for $305. More about these two variants are as follows.

Before this launch, Xiaomi unveiled the Mi TV 3 with 4K Display. That’s around $1,390 which is somewhat less expensive than Samsung’s $3,799 65-inch 4K UHD JU7500 Series. Priced at RMB 8,999 (approximately Rs 92,600), Xiaomi is also offering Mi TV bar with an independent 6-piece sound system with the TV. The all new Curved display sourced from Samsung comes with a resolution of 3840x2160p and a 4000:1 contrast ration.

As for the display quality, Xiaomi TV’s aren’t cheap because the 4K resolution curved display used on Mi TV 3S Curve is manufactured by the South Korean giant. It is powered by an MStar 6A928 processor with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory. Both Mi TV 3S models are powered by Xiaomi’s MIUI with Android as the base and will only be available in China. This smart TV is powered by Mstar 6A908 FHD TV chip and also includes Dolby and DTS audio dual decoding technology. The Mi TV 3S Curve is just 5.9mm in thickness and supports Dolby and DTS audio dual decoding.
