However, it has been mentioned in the post yesterday that it is ‘note-worthy’, it was highly expected that the company may launch the much awaited Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 in India. It has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS and a microUSB port on the connectivity front and packs a 3,100mAh battery.
It has a 5.5-inch HD display, 13 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera. Speaking of Redmi Note 2 price, the smartphone will reportedly set the buyers back by approximately US$157. Lenovo has recently captured a major chunk of the market segment through A6000 plus and A7000, priced at rs.7,499 and rs.8,999 respectively.
The device includes an onboard storage of 8GB and can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
Similar to its predecessor, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 will be a mid-range phablet and possibly come with a price tag of anything between ¥980 ($158) and ¥1272 ($205). The smartphone is the company’s first 4G device in the country and supports FDD-LTE (band 3) and TDD-LTE (band 40) 4G technologies to offer high-speed data access. Should this be the day Xiaomi releases the Redmi Note 2, the tech world is about to find out. Later, the company tied up with Airtel and other offline retail partners.

Without the new price for the Redmi Note 4G these two phones would have had the same pricing. That said, the company has stated that the reduced price is applicable when you buy the device via Xiaomi’s Mi.com/in online store.
