Xiaomi has provided Android Lollipop-based MIUI 7 on the Android version of the Mi Pad 2, while its Windows version has Microsoft’s Windows 10 operating system. Xiaomi will also offer a model with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage for RMB 1099 (about $172).
All this horsepower is paired with 2GB of LPR DDR3 RAM and will be offered in 16GB and 64GB variants.
On the back, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 features a 13 MP camera, with phase detection autodocus, teaming up with a 5 MP front snapper.
We will be updating you once we get further details such as India launch and pricing of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. Taking a page from Huawei’s and Apple’s book, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 design is its main focus and appeal. Meanwhile, its second-generation slate, Mi Pad 2, has similar specs to Apple’s Retina display-equipped iPad minis, which kick off at $269, but at a price starting at just $157.
Regardless of software choice, Xiaomi says the Mi Pad 2 can play video for 12 hours on a charge thanks to the 6,190 mAh battery.

Meanwhile, living inside the Redmi Note 3 is an octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor, 2/3GB of RAM, 16/32GB of storage, dual SIM slots, and Android running beneath the MIUI 7 user interface. The 16GB Mi Pad 2 will be available in China from November 27th for RMB 999 or roughly $156, while the 64GB version will sell for RMB 1299 or around $200. To facilitate easier reading, the MiPad 2 sports a special mode that cuts down blue light emanating from the screen, which apparently eases eye strain during long-term viewing. You can choose from either the champagne gold or dark grey version. There’s a USB Type-C port at the bottom, and support for Wi-Fi 802.11ac. Compared to the original Mi Pad, it’s 38g lighter and 18% thinner.
